The photos at the top illustrate the feet before and below shows the first trim in progress.

The owner of this horse contacted Dermot because she was worried that this horse's foot appeared to be becoming deformed. The toe is excessively long, the heels dropped. The foot was becoming increasingly unhealthy.

On the left you can see the foot before the shoe was removed and if you click to enlarge the picture on the right, you will see how unhealthy the fore feet have become. Much of this deteroriation can not be seen whilst the shoe is in place.
